New Student Checklist

Congratulations on your acceptance to Manhattan University! We look forward to welcoming you to campus. Here are the next steps to complete your enrollment and officially become a Jasper.

  • Student Enrollment Deposit

    To officially become a Jasper, complete the enrollment form and pay your deposit online.

    Your place in next semester's class will only be guaranteed if your deposit is paid in full by the reply date listed on your admissions letter.

    Commuter Students Enrollment Deposit: $500
    Resident Students Enrollment and Housing Deposit: $800

    Please note that all deposits are non-refundable. Allow 1-2 days for your deposit to process.

  • Get Connected To Manhattan University

    Activate your new MU student email (also known as JasperNet credentials).

    After you’ve made your enrollment deposit, an activation email will be sent to the email address that was used to apply to Manhattan University. 

    Download the Manhattan University Glance app. 

    Upload your new student ID profile picture, get campuswide notifications, view your schedule, and so much more. Once uploaded to GlanceMU, you can pick up your Student ID during Orientation.

  • Get Your Class Schedule

    Your first semester class schedule is coming! 

    First, you will need to complete the Pre-Registration Checklist.

    New students are required to complete an academic history and interests profile and placement assessments to help us create your first term schedule for the Fall. Together with data we already have on file from your application, the responses we gather will inform the pre-registration process that is managed by the Office of Centralized Advising. You’ll have the opportunity to meet with our Office during Orientation sessions and you’ll touch base with your dedicated Advisor throughout your orientation and first-year experience journey.

    General Timeline of First-Semester Class Scheduling:

    • May 9 - Deadline to complete the checklist requirements
    • Mid-May to Early June - Centralized Advising prepares course schedules

  • Financial Aid and Student Accounts

    Jasper Central is your one-stop-shop for financial aid, student accounts, billing, and the registrar. 

    • Accepted Students: You must file a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) to be considered for need-based financial aid from Manhattan University.
      • Your correct social security number must be on file with your FAFSA. If you do not provide this information, we cannot process your FAFSA.

    You must provide our school code: 002758 for Manhattan University to receive your information.

    Newly Enrolled Students: You will need your JasperNet ID and password to login for the financial aid checklist. Please visit this page for more information on student account onboarding

  • On-Campus Dining and Housing

    Complete your online housing application: Sign the housing contract and complete your roommate profile on the myMU portal. The Housing Application opens on April 1, and we will begin assigning housing on July 1. 

    Move-In takes place for incoming transfer students and first year students between August 20-21

    Resident Meal PlanAll residential students are automatically enrolled in a 14-swipe weekly meal plan with the option to upgrade to the High Use plan. 

    Commuter Meal PlanAll commuter students are automatically enrolled in a 15-swipe per semester meal plan with the option to upgrade to a High Use plan. 

    If you need any health or mobility accommodations as part of your meal plan or housing assignment, please submit all paperwork and applicable forms to the Specialized Resource Center.

  • Submit Your Official Transcript(s)

    Manhattan University requires your final transcript as confirmation that you graduated from high school or completed your coursework at your previous institution. The final transcript must state the graduation date or semester completion date with the final GPA to be marked “official.”

    Please ask your high school guidance counselor or college registrar to submit your final transcript by August 1st. The transcript can be sent to admit@manhattan.edu.

    All official transcripts must be received in order for Jasper Central to process your financial aid and scholarships.

  • Submit Health Records

    Manhattan University requires all full-time undergraduate students, degree-seeking international students, resident students, and Division 1 athletic participants to have health insurance.

    1. Health Records - Forms are due by August 15. For more information, please visit: manhattan.edu/HealthRecords.
    2. Health Insurance - Complete a waiver with evidence of health insurance or enroll in the University Student Health Insurance Plan.
