Fitness Center

Students do cardio at the Fitness CenterOur Fitness Center is one of the most popular destinations on campus — and with good reason. This state-of-the-art facility has touch screen cardio machines, locker rooms with free towel service, circuit and strength training stations, and virtual reality bikes.

Counseling Center

Our accredited Counseling Center is staffed by counselors who specialize in helping you cope with these issues, and address other concerns such as substance abuse and depression. 

Available Services

Our team of therapists are experts in counseling university-aged students and will provide services at no cost. Types of assistance offered at the Counseling Center include:

  • Short-term individual counseling
  • Referrals to local mental health resources
  • Online screenings
  • Educational programs
  • Crisis intervention
  • Student groups that meet weekly

Health Services

A student getting his blood pressure checked at the health services officeOur on-campus Health Services office is staffed by medical providers who can diagnose and treat minor illnesses and injuries, or help you with a referral off campus to a local hospital or medical practice to care for more serious illnesses and injuries. Health Services also manages the student health records required by New York state. 

Available Services

Health Services does not charge a visit fee or bill insurance to see our medical providers. However, to avoid potentially expensive health care bills for off-campus medical care, all students are required to maintain health insurance coverage while attending Manhattan University. Types of medical services offered: 

  • Diagnosis and treatment of minor episodic illnesses
  • First aid for minor injuries
  • Health clearances required for participation in school related activities
  • Blood pressure checkup
  • Vision screening 
  • Annual Flu Vaccine clinic
  • Diagnostic testing:
    • In office - strep and urine - no fee
    • Outside Lab services - cultures and blood work will be billed to students’ health insurance
