Manhattan University announced that a new Health Sciences Major will take effect in the Fall Semester of 2025. It will be housed in the Kinesiology Department led by Dr. Shawn Ladda.
The new major will have a broad focus, introducing students to scientific foundations, including public health, and can readily serve as a springboard for post-graduate work in areas such as Nursing, Physician’s Assistant (PA), Podiatry, and Chiropractic studies.
Said Marcy Kelly, Ph.D., Dean of the Kakos School of Arts and Sciences and Professor of Biology at Manhattan University, “We are most excited about this new course of study, particularly the unique feature of having a public health minor embedded within the health sciences major. Our students will be exceptionally well-positioned to pursue graduate studies in a variety of health-related disciplines.”
Current and incoming students interested in this course of study may get additional details by contacting Dr. Ladda (shawn.ladda@manhattan.edu) or Dr. Kelly (mkelly16@manhattan.edu).
